“Fill a prescription”

(Lucy is at the drugstore … )

Lucy: How long will it take to fill this prescription?

Pharmacist: Oh, about twenty minutes.

Lucy: Oh dear. I’m running late. Is there any way you could speed it up?

Pharmacist: I’m sorry but there are five orders ahead of yours and I’m the only one here.

Lucy: I understand. I guess I can run some errands.

Pharmacist: Do you want a brand name or a generic?

Lucy: What’s the difference?

Pharmacist: The generic is just as good as the brand name and you’ll save about seven dollars.

Lucy: Good. I’ll take the generic.

* speed it up: 속력을 높이다 서두르다

“If she speeds up her typing she’ll make too many mistakes.”

“I have been running my errands all day and now I’m going to rest.”
