(David and Roger are talking at work during a break … )

David: We’re due for a school picnic aren’t we?

Roger: Yes we are. When should we have it?

David: Our director is out of town so we’ll have to wait for him to come back.

Roger: He’s returning next Monday on the 23rd.

David: We always have it on a Friday so how about the 11th or the 18th.

Roger: Either date is okay by me.

David: I’ll ask the other teachers and see what they think.

Roger: Where are we going to have the picnic?

David: I’d like to try the park by me.

Roger: Yes that park is much closer to the school than the one we’ve been going to.
