“I‘m all for it”

(Jim is talking to Roger about his daughter Amanda … )

Roger: How is Amanda doing in college?

Jim: Well I was talking to her last night.

Roger: Is she doing all right?

Jim: She wants to take some time off.

Roger: You mean leave college?

Jim: Yes. She wants to run around Europe for a while.

Roger: Really? What do you think about that?

Jim: I’m all for it. But I do hope she goes back to college.

Roger: She‘ll be fine. She’s got a good head on her shoulders.

*take some time off:

“I took some time off from work to visit my family in New York.”

“I‘m going to run around at the mall for a while.”

* (one) has got a good head on (one’s) shoulders: 정신이 똑바로 박히다 똑똑하다 “Don‘t worry about him. He’s got a good head on his shoulders.”
