(It’s late morning and Terry and Sidney are at work … )

Terry: I’ve got to take an extra hour for lunch today.

Sidney: What’s the deal?

Terry: I’d rather not say now. Can you cover for me until 2 o’clock?

Sidney: Sure but I don’t know anyone who will know you’re not here.

Terry: Just in case the boss is looking for me.

Sidney: You know you can depend on me.

Terry: Thanks. I’ll tell you all the details later.

Sidney: Are you sure you’ll be back in two hours?

Terry: To the best of my knowledge that’s all it will take.

Sidney: Hurry back. I want to know what this is about.

* what’s the deal (with)?: 무슨 연유죠?

“What’s the deal with your purple hair?”

“I can’t cover for you because I don’t want to tell a lie.”

* (just) in case: ~할 경우를 대비해서

“There are spare batteries in there you need them.”
